Oxford Ice Rink

Supporting their vision of creating a “world class city for everyone,” Oxford City Council and Leisure Trust Operators, Fusion Lifestyle, completed extensive improvements to Oxford Ice Rink during a three week period.

The ice rink, which was built 27 years ago remains a popular venue in Oxford and is home to Oxford’s Ice Hockey team.

The rejuvenation has included replacing of the rink barrier and rubber matting around it as well as upgrades to the gallery and stairs. The old refrigeration plant was removed and replaced with a low carbon unit.

The Council has brought about these changes along with redevelopments to three local leisure centres, Barton and Blackbird Leys Leisure Centres and Ferry Sports Centre in order to ensure quality facilities at excellent value for its users.
