The London Borough of Hounslow has commissioned The Clarkson Alliance to design and manage improvement works on six leisure centres and seven community halls. The work is taking place under a £25 million programme with TCA working in partnership with Leisure Management trust Fusion Lifestyle.

The aim is to fund the investment over the 15 years of Fusion’s leisure management contract by attracting more public participation at centres. Improvements range from linking Isleworth recreation centre with Isleworth Library with a new combined entrance and café, increasing the fitness provision by creating a new “State of the art” 100 station gym.

Creating a 1st floor fitness gym and studio at Chiswich Pool. At Feltham Airparcs Leisure Centre we are demolishing the old single story section of the building to create a new story height reception, fitness suite and wet and dry changing facilities along with incorporating a new library to create a combined leisure hub.

‘There’s an expression that we use in our business and that is “quality threshold”. We will only work with companies that refuse to compromise on quality and TCA have quality ingrained within their organisation,’ says Fusion chief executive Peter Kay. ‘They demonstrate this commitment to quality by looking to add value at every stage’.

Indeed, I was very confident in them, very confident that they would do a good job. They were just so competent.
